ALL ABOUT: Korean Contour Facial Massage
What is a Korean Contour Facial Massage?
Korean Contour Facial Massage is a relaxing yet targeted facial massage technique designed to work with the muscles and soft tissues of the face, jaw, neck and décolleté. It combines massage techniques with gentle sculpting and contouring movements to help release facial tension and leave you feeling refreshed.
What does it help with?
This treatment may help with:
Facial and jaw tension
Tightness through the forehead, temples and cheeks
Tension around the jaw and TMJ area
Puffy-looking areas of the face
Circulation and fluid movement
Relaxation and stress
Is it painful?
It shouldn't be. Some areas might feel more intense than others, especially if you carry a lot of tension in your jaw, temples or face. As always, if it’s too much, TELL ME.
Does it include the jaw and TMJ area?
Yes! Depending on your treatment and needs, the jaw, masseter muscles, temples and surrounding areas can be incorporated.
Is it just a facial massage?
Nope! The treatment can incorporate the face, scalp, jaw, neck and décolleté depending on the treatment you've booked and what your body needs that day.
What is the difference between the Express and 60-minute treatments?
Express Korean Contour Facial Massage (30 minutes): A shorter treatment focusing on the key areas of the face, jaw and neck. Great if you're short on time or want to try the treatment for the first time.
60-Minute Korean Contour Facial Massage: More time allows for a slower, more comprehensive treatment and additional attention to areas worked.
Do I need to remove my makeup?
Ideally, yes, but I will remove use a make up remover as apart of the treatment.
Can I wear makeup afterward?
Of course! You can apply makeup afterward if you wish. That said, you may prefer to give your skin a little time to breathe after your treatment.
How often should I get a Korean Contour Facial Massage?
There isn't one schedule that works for everyone. Some people may enjoy it occasionally for relaxation and maintenance, while others may prefer incorporating it into their regular self-care routine.
Can I combine it with my regular massage
Absolutely!
Is this a facial?
Not in the traditional skincare-facial sense. This is primarily a massage treatment, rather than a skincare treatment involving cleansing, exfoliation, extractions or a full skincare routine.
What makes Korean Contour Facial Massage different from a regular facial massage?
Korean Contour Facial Massage incorporates more intentional sculpting, lifting, rhythmic and targeted massage movements. Rather than simply providing a relaxing facial massage, the techniques focus on the facial muscles, soft tissues and areas where tension or fluid retention may contribute to a puffy appearance.
Can I have this treatment if I've had Botox, cosmetic surgery, or fillers?
Please let me know before booking if you've had any recent injectables. Facial massage is contraindicated during the healing period following Botox or dermal fillers. You'll need clearance from your injecting provider before receiving facial massage, particularly over treated areas.
Can I book this treatment before an event or special occasion?
Absolutely, but I recommend scheduling it a day or two beforehand rather than immediately before an important event. This gives any temporary redness or sensitivity time to settle.
Can men receive Korean Contour Facial Massage?Of course! Facial massage isn't gender-specific. Anyone who enjoys facial relaxation, jaw tension relief or the temporary appearance of facial sculpting can potentially benefit.
Can I receive this treatment if I wear contact lenses?
Of course, although you may find it more comfortable to remove your contact lenses. You can bring your contact lens case just in case.
Will you massage inside my mouth?
Not with this service, no. This particular service focuses on external facial massage techniques.
What if I don't want a lot of pressure on my face?
No problem, just tell me!
Will I fall asleep?
There's a pretty good chance! Between the facial massage, scalp work and relaxing environment, you might find yourself drifting off. No judgment if you do.
